Site back up

So the site is back up from being hacked left and right. The theme got changed a bit and I put up a new header. I hope the headaches of being a webmaster will finally subside. A big shout-out to all webmasters out there, it is not an easy job! I didn’t know what I was getting myself into when I started Engscope.

In addition, we have some requests for USB based tutorials for both host and device. I’ll look into this, but I can tell you right away that I have not done any USB host type projects; plenty of device type projects though.икониПравославни икони

Persistant Problems

Hi all, there are still some problems with the website. Keeps on reverting back to larger fonts. I suspect something is still running in the background, but I can’t quite figure out how to get rid of it. This is such a pain in the rear.

Website hacked

If some of you were trying to access the website last night and noticed that it was down, it is because the website was hacked. Working with the provider to try to get the latest back up. This kinda sucks and is taking up a lot of my time. Wonder what anyone has against Engscope…

New Tutorial

Since it was Father’s day, and I’m not a father by any means (at least not that I know), I had some time off from my busy schedule of Starcraft 2 and conference travels. I was able to write up a section on PWM modules on the PIC24. If you’re interested, head over to the section now at the PIC24 Tutorial.

Must have been a year since I updated that part of the webpage.

Conference in Arizona

икониI am currently in Arizona at the IMAGE society 2011 conference. The weather is such a change from the humid and sticky 90 degree days that we have been having in DC. It is hot, but dry. I guess if I had to pick between the two, I’d pick Arizona’s dry heat.

Anyways, I am going to be presenting a paper that I wrote back in March at the conference entitled “Overcoming electromagnetic compatibility challenges in head-mounted display systems”. Long title for a simple concept – how do you make a product FCC or CE compatible in terms of radiated emissions?

I can’t post the paper just yet for those who might be interested because I do not have permission from the conference yet. I will ask the conference chair about that, and post the paper when possible (if at all).
