There have been a lot of requests recently for new sections in the tutorial, namely SPI and ADC. Since I wrote the ADC code years ago, I thought it might be a good time to леглаpost it up. Yes, I know, the tutorial optical amplifierhas not been updated in almost a year, but it feels like you can do most of the applications with the posted sections. In addition, the I2C bus seems to be more popular than the SPI, mainly because you can hook up 127 devices on the same bus. SPI requires daisy chains, and feels cumbersome to set up. Anyways, it is uncertain if I will do an SPI section as my current list of project does not require any devices, with the exception of JTAG based R&D stuff.

For the fans of the site (all two of you out there), you should see a PCB fabrication tutorial soon. It is written mainly for all those EE’s who avoids wet chemistry, no innuendo intended, you won’t need to avoid it any longer with Engscope’s nifty PCB fabrication tutorial, coming soon!

Well, have I a story to tell. I ran Mather Gorge at 9.5 ft yesterday, which is a hair away from flood stage. The recent rains have swelled up the Potomac and it is looking ridiculous. There were 6 foot waves and whirlpools popping up all over the place. It was hard to keep the bow afloat on my Project 52, as the dynamics kept on sinking and pushing the boat around. On top of the obvious dangers, pieces of wood were all over the place. 20 ft trees being tossed down river at alarming rates. All in all, I’m happy no one in my group (myself included) took a swim. Here’s the gauge at little falls, hopefully I can get some pictures from my friends soon.
